Hunter Wood is a 2012 RHP/OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Rogers, AR who attends Rogers Heritage HS. Medium build, loose wiry frame, room to add strength. Leg raise/back turn delivery, extended 3/4's release point, good arm speed. Fastball to 91 mph, occasional hard arm side running action. Needs to work on repeating arm slot, has projectability on the mound. Very good outfield arm strength, on line accurate throws, sound footwork, works through the ball. Open right handed stance, hand hitch load, shows raw bat speed, some lift in swing, can improve with better timing. Good athlete, can improve in all areas. Verbal commitment to Arkansas.
