2010 Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase
Ben Bergman is a JC LHP with a 6'5'', 210 lb. frame from Mount Vernon, IA who attends Kirkwood CC. Large framed well proportioned build, good present strength. Full windup, gets hips turned well, some backside collapse coming forward, 3/4's extended release. Mid 80's fastball touched 87 mph, mostly straight. Varied speed/shape on breaking ball, good depth on both CB and SL, big sweeping action at times, tries to pitch to spots with all pitches. Didn't see change up. Excellent student.
