Willie Barcena is a 2013 MIF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends John Marshall HS. Slender athletic build, should and needs to get stronger. Left handed hitter, wide base, short quick swing, uses his hands very well, easy and balanced, drives the barrel through contact, shows present bat speed with more to come, projects to really improve with more strength. 7.57 runner, soft hands defensively, quick release, will need to improve foot quickness and arm strength for second base. Quality bat with a high ceiling, rest of skills still developing.
