We’ve seen Webb repeatedly over the past year and he keeps getting better and better in small but consistent increments. He pitched in the 87-90 mph range in Fort Myers with some running action low in the zone. Webb’s slider is an excellent pitch, especially when he stays on top of it, and he threw some very good ones at 77-80 mph. He also mixed in a change up or two. Webb’s going to keep adding strength to his lean 6-6 frame and that will take care of future velocity gains. He seems to be gaining more consistency in his release point, which will help his command and ability to stay down in the strike zone consistently. Webb’s a good student who has signed to go to Wake Forest. He has great makeup and some scouts might put him real high on their list this spring. He projects in a big way and he's already real high on our list. It's hard telling how good Ryan might end up being, sky is the limit!
