Zach Wood is a 2012 OF/3B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Gilbert, AZ who attends Highland HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength. 7.14 runner, clean infield actions to the ball, over the top arm action limits arm strength. Switch hitter, better approach and bat speed left handed. Good weight shift left handed, long and loose swing, creates bat speed, good balance, looks to pull the ball. Very busy load right handed, not balanced during swing, aggressive effort swing, can improve by calming/simplifying right handed approach. Very good student.
