Christopher Paiva is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Middletown, RI who attends Middletown. Tall, athletic build with good present strength. Works from a high three quarter arm slot on the mound, and shows good arm speed. Touches 82 mph with his fastball and pitches deliberately and with a plan. Commands his fastball and also mixes a sharp 73 mph curveball with 11-5 shape. Will also flash a changeup at 68 mph. Also swung the bat, works from a slightly open stance and carries his hands high. Has a line drive swing path and a sound approach. Good student.
