Rob VanderLinden is a 2015 3B/OF with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Urbandale, IA who attends Dowling Catholic HS. Strong athletic build. 7.21 runner, moves well at third base with good footwork and balance, playable arm strength with accurate throws. Right handed hitter, high back elbow set up, tends to collapse back side on swing creating uppercut swing plane, has strength in his swing and good bat speed, showed the ability to pull and lift the ball, better backside approach will improve bat speed and swing plane. Has the strength and athleticism to keep improving. Good student.
