Amauri Rodriguez is a 2014 SS/2B with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy/HS. Slender young build, room to get stronger. 7.16 runner, athletic middle infield actions on defense, quick feet with good balanced, moves to the ball aggressively, soft quick hands, accurate throws with a quick release, second base profile and arm strength. Switch hitter, similar both sides, upper body swing with limited flow to contact, simple short hand path and swing, contact approach, spray line drive contact, can improve with additional strength and adjustments.
