2011 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Matthew Binz is a 2013 MIF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Saint Louis, MO who attends St. Louis University HS. Medium, slender frame with lots of room to fill out. Good athlete with easy movements on the infield. Takes easy routes to the ball, good actions with hands that show looseness and field easily. Arm is playable at both middle infield positions. Hand back, deep load at plate. Aggressive swing with good extension and solid bat speed. Middle of the field approach with line drive swing, also shows occasional pull pop. Projects well. Good student.
