Taylor McBath -- McBath is a tall and slender (6'3/160) freshman third baseman from Florida. He did a good job of making solid contact during both batting practice and in games, where he had 2 singles. He will generate much more bat speed as he gets older and stronger. When he does, that contact ability is going to translate into some power. More strength will also increase McBath’s speed and mobility. He also threw 2 innings and touched 76-77 mph with a good running movement on his fastball. Taylor is a very good student.
