Diego Johnson is a 2014 RHP with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Flagstaff, AZ who attends Coconino HS. Medium, strong build. Ran a 7.90 60 yard dash. Throws from a high three-quarter arm slot and reaches 79 mph with his fastball. Works down in the strike zone and knows how to mix his off speed pitches effectively. Has sink on his fastball and locates his 10-4 breaking ball down. Also throws a changeup that he shows feel for. Also swung the bat, works from a spread stance and knows how to lift the ball. Barrels it consistently and hits to the middle part of the field. Good balanced at the plate. Feet work well in the field and makes consistently online throws.
