Tory Summey is a 2006 right handed pitcher/outfielder from Nauset Regional HS in Brewster, Massachusetts, with a tall and lean 6'3"/188 pound frame. On the mound, Summey pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot. He has an online delivery and uses minimal effort while getting a downward plane to the plate. Tory does a nice job of keeping his 77 mph fastball down in the strike zone. He also throws an 11-5 breaking curveball with short and tight break at 62 mph. Summey is a competitor on the hill. As a right handed hitter, he hits from a slightly closed stance with a no stride approach. He has slight lift in his swing with good at speed and makes consistent contact. Tory has a high 3/4 release from the outfield and an accurate arm. He showed good actions and reactions to the ball defensively. Summey is an excellent student.
