Alfonso Rivas is a 2015 OF/LHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Poway, CA who attends La Jolla Country Day. Medium athletic build, some present strength, especially in the lower half. Left handed hitter, good load, moves into contact well, quick hands, loose swing, ball comes off the barrel hard, surprising power, handled left handers well, lots of doubles in his future, polished hitter. Strong arm but tends to throw uphill, should be correctable, 7.2 type runner at previous events, corner outfield tools. Has also been mid-80's off the mound in the past, didn't pitch this event. Bat will be his carrying tool.
