LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2005 South Top Prospect Showcase
Selby is a 5-10, 175 lb senior outfielder from San Antonio. He is recovering from shoulder surgery earlier this year and did not play in the field or throw at the showcase. He reports that he's doing great and should be throwing again soon, so coaches might be able to see him this fall. Selby is a strong looking well conditioned athlete. He is a very good runner at 7.01 and has powerful running strides. At the plate, Selby has a high hand set up with strong, quick hands and good bat speed to the ball. His high hand position and busy hands did leave him late to the ball against the faster pitchers with wood, which he will have to make adjustments for in the future. Selby has the talent to keep improving as a hitter and his other tools play well. Follow him as he returns to health.
