Acy Owen is a 2015 C with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Brandon, MS who attends Northwest Rankin HS. Tall, strongly built, lean frame and has long limbs. Ran a 7.50 60 yard dash. Gets the ball out very quickly behind the plate despite his length. Makes on the bag, accurate throws. Will improve with maturity and raw arm strength. Bats left-handed, works from an upright setup and has a line drive swing path. Has a simple, easy swing and projects to add more power. Starts slightly open but stays consistent with his mechanics. Shows a sound game action approach. Excellent student.
