Blaze Beason is a 2016 C with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Plano, TX who attends Prestonwood Christian Academy. Strong prototypical catcher's build, mature for his age. Right handed hitter, bent knee stance, busy hand load, loose long swing with good bat speed, shows strength at contact, back side tends to collapse in swing creating length and uppercut swing plane, pull contact with some lift, has the bat speed and strength to develop as a hitter with adjustments. Short compact arm action on defense, quick release with minimal gain towards second base, developing arm strength, 2.01 best pop time, plays with energy. Good student.
