Josh Shrouder is a 2016 SS/2B with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Coconut Creek, FL who attends Cardinal Gibbons. Medium, athletic frame with solid wiry strength throughout body and good projectable room to continue filling out. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.44 seconds. Hits from wider-spread stance, rocks back into load with slight leg lift. Has good hand speed and takes the barrel to the zone on time; line drive swing plane with solid jump off the barrel when squared up, impacts it well with consistency and will have better ability to drive the ball with continued strength gains and physical development. Worked out defensively in the infield, showing solid hand work at the ball and through fielding. Funnels the ball well and fields cleanly, quick transfer and gather, shows solid arm strength up to 80 MPH with consistent accuracy across the diamond. Excellent student.
