Ariel pitches from a low 3/4 arm slot with a short arm in back. He has a low effort delivery and his arm works well. He is a tall and fall style pitcher who hides the ball well. Vidal Rey's fastball topped out at 79 mph with natural cut action. He showed the ability to slide step from the stretch to keep runners honest at first base. Ariel is a solid prospect with good potential at the next level who is also a very good student.
