Justin Woolbright is a 2016 1B/3B/RHP with a 6-0 193 lb. frame from Rockford, IL who attends Rockford Lutheran HS, Medium build, very strong throughout. 7.63 runner, moves well at third base with quick short steps, glove tends to get down late to the ball, throws have good carry, also plays some first base. Right handed hitter, hand hitch load from a spread stance, short compact swing, swings hard and has good bat speed, ball comes off the barrel hard and loud, uses his strength well, max effort swing but he showed he could square the ball up. Also pitched, high 3/4's arm slot, uses his lower half well, compact arm action that hides the ball well, short stride out front. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, good arm side running action at times, curveball shows some promise with tight spin and some 11/5 depth. Good student. Named to the Showcase Top Prospect Team.
