Alonso is a 6-3, 210 left handed pitcher from Miami with good strength throughout. He does a good job during his delivery of hiding the ball from the hitter, which makes his fastball look quicker. Alonso topped out at 81 mph from a minimum effort arm stroke and release. His best pitch was a 66 mph change up that he maintained good arm speed on. Alonso's breaking ball was a 70 mph slider that had a flat break and which can improve in the future. He did a good job throwing strikes with all his pitches and working ahead in the count. He's a good student who should continue to improve on the baseball diamond.
