Ty Denzer is a 2015 SS/OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Victoria, MN who attends Chanhassen HS. Solid athletic build, has some present strength. Switch-hitter with very similar approaches and swings from both sides of the plate. Tall stance with a big leg raise load, foot late getting down on occasion, quick hands with a short hand path to the ball, has good present bat speed with a pull oriented line drive swing. handles the barrel well and makes consistent line drive contact, can open up power with better extension out front. 6.92 runner, moves well to the ball on the infield, balanced charging the ball with good footwork and release, has good arm strength but arm action and transfer tend to get long when fielding while stationary, also plays the outfield. Good all around athlete with strength and some quick twitch. Verbal commitment to Kansas.
