Sawyer Bridges is a 2016 RHP/3B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Summerville, SC who attends Summerville HS. Medium athletic build, plenty of room to add strength. Good coil in his delivery, gets his back turned while maintaining good balance over the rubber, drives to the plate hard with energy, high 3/4's arm slot, works over his front side well, getting the most from his lower half and core, will occasionally overthrow. Steady 88-90,mph fastball, mostly straight with occasional arm side run. Change up is a nice pitch with solid arm speed and good fading action. Curveball has good depth and power with 11/5 shape. Three quality pitches he throws for strikes. More core and lower half strength could lead to some projectability with his raw stuff. Very good student, verbal commitment to South Carolina.
