Cooper Swanson is a 2017 SS/RHP with a 6-1 194 lb. frame from Fort Myers, FL who attends Canterbury HS. Strong athletic build. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base, has a simple and direct shift to contact, quick hands and very good bat speed, fires his hips and creates torque from his lower half, ball jumps off the barrel hard and loud, showed his power well. 6.69 runner, very good raw arm strength, charges and works through the ball well, good hands and solid overall actions in the infield. Also worked out in the outfield. Very toolsy athlete who has shown improvement with the bat, looked like he was ready to really blossom this summer. Verbal commitment to Vanderbilt.
