Drew Tomlinson is a 2014 LHP/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Watchung, NJ who attends Union Catholic HS. Tomlinson has a medium sized frame with an athletic build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. His arm works with developing arm speed. Tomlinson pitches across his body some and gets good extension out front. He repeats his delivery well and he gets some cut action on his fastball. Tomlinson throws a 1/7 curveball with developing shape and spin to it. At the plate, he starts with a slightly closed stance and has some strength in his swing. He gets some lift and extension with some power potential. Defensively he moves to the ball well and has developing outfield actions. Excellent student.
