Ty Hoecker is a 2015 LHP/1B with a 6-4 225 lb. frame from Galveston, TX who attends Ball HS. Extra tall, durable, mature build. Ran an 8.14 60 yard dash. Pitches from a high three-quarter arm slot and has a quick, repeatable arm action. Pitches downhill consistently with good arm side running action on his 86 mph fastball. Shows sharp, late bit on his 12-6 curveball at 74 mph. Big lefty with feel for two potential above average pitches. Ball comes out well. Also swung the bat, stays inside the ball and looks to hit line drives out of an upright setup. Quick on the charge at first base and flashes strong arm. Feet work well. Future is on the mound. Good student.
