Nestor Pena is a 2014 OF/SS with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Fajardo, PR who attends International Baseball Academy. Pena has a long lean build with room to fill out. Hits from both sides of the plate. From the left side, he has a wide base, short compact swing. Mostly pull approach but shows ability to stay on ball away. From the right side, has a line drive approach with more consistent hard contact. Defensively, worked out in both the OF and INF, from the OF, has solid footwork to the ball with accurate throws. On the infield, good hands and feet, quick release. Good student.
