Syam Michael is a 2014 SS/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Fairview, NJ who attends Saint Joseph Regional HS. Smaller, slender frame, strong lower half and some present strength. Ran a 6.91 60 yard. Accurate throws from the outfield, better actions on the infield, fluid actions, quick transfer, shows some range and quickness in his feet. Right-handed hitter, quick to the ball, shows some life in his swing, will get better with maturity. Balanced, simple approach, decent extension, flashes bat speed, uppercut swing path. Also pitches, slight crossfire delivery from high 3/4 arm slot, clean finish. Locates 75-81 mph fastball, shows some feel for his curveball, deliberate approach. Good student.
