Lucas Rollins is a 2015 LHP/1B with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Collingswood, NJ who attends Collingswood. Extra-large, athletic frame with long limbs and nice present strength to his build. Ran a 7.75 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a short arm circle in the back. Up tempo delivery and works quickly on the mound. Effort at release, creates deception with moving parts in delivery, shows athleticism and repeats well, filling up the strike zone. Shows three pitches for strikes and knows how to use them, fastball topped out at 83 mph showing arm side run with some sinking lift. Generates swing and misses with changeup with late fade. Gets around curveball a bit but shows shape at 73 mph. Solid actions at first base, nice footwork around the bag, strong arm with carry on accurate throws across with a quick release. Left-handed hitter, starts with an open stance and a high hand set. Upper body swing, shows an aggressive approach with good plate coverage. Easy swing, gets barrel through the zone, shows a pull side approach with strength and carry off the barrel. Very good student.
