Joshuan F Lopez is a 2015 LHP with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Toa Alta, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy HS. Large frame, long thin build with room to fill. Pitches from a three quarter arm slot with a loose arm action that works well. Good extension out front, good arm side sinking life on fastball, crossfire delivery creates deception. Good tailing action on changeup but velocity differential from fastball will allow hitters at the next level to pick it up, needs to narrow gap between fastball velocity and offspeed velocity. Big sweeping break on curveball. Arm projects for increased arm speed as he gets stronger. Chance to develop into quality pitching prospect. Named to the National Underclass Session 3 top prospect team.
