Jorge A Muriel is a 2013 RHP with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Canovanas, PR who attends Luis Hernaiz Veronne HS. Slender young build, minimal present strength. Leg raise delivery, long loose arm action, mid 3/4's to 3/4's extended release, will pull off front side on release occasionally. Consistent low 80's fastball topped out at 82 mph, good arm side run when he stays directional, slider flashes some bite at times, good feel for a change up. Mixes his pitches up well and is around the zone with all three. Arm works well, just a matter of adding strength to add velocity. Good student.
