Ismael De Leon is a 2013 RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Cayey, PR who attends Miguel Melendez Muroz HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength, mature look. Leg raise delivery, leans back with shoulder/upper body tilt, loose extended arm action, high 3/4's release, arm works well coming through. Steady low 80's fastball, topped at 83 mph, occasional sink and run down in the zone. Tends to drop elbow on curveball, soft shorter break but throw strikes with the pitch. Competed well and got quick outs.
