Beau Thompson is a 2017 1B/RHP with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Pickens, SC who attends D W Daniel High School. Large frame, thick strong build. Hits from a slightly open stance, patient approach at the plate, hands work well in swing, line plane, strong at contact, flashes raw power via physical strength. Accurate throws in the infield workout, arm works well. Also pitched and topped out at 71 mph from a low three quarters arm slot, paired it with a deep sweeping breaking ball. Good student.
