Shelton Clevenger is a 2017 OF/LHP with a 6-2 155 lb. frame from Birmingham, AL who attends Pinson Valley. Large frame, tall lanky build with room to fill. Hits from a closed stance, large leg lift trigger, long stride, deep hand load, short swing through the hitting zone, momentum to and through the baseball with good extension, power potential with strength development. Quiet approach in game at-bats, showed solid gap power in game swings. Loose arm action with whipiness and carry on throws from the outfield. Pitched from a low three quarters arm slot with a short arm action. Drop and drive delivery from a high leg kick, good balance to delivery, sweeping depth on slider. Good student.
