Jordan Butler is a 2017 LHP/OF/1B with a 6-2 193 lb. frame from Odessa, FL who attends Alonso HS. Very athletic build with good present strength. Very deceptive delivery, hides the ball very well, uses his lower half, tight low 3/4's arm slot, arm is fast and natural in that slot, repeats his mechanics very well. Fastball up to 91 mph, generates heavy sinking action from his arm slot. Sweeping frisbee type breaking ball with good tilt and consistency. Fills up the zone with both pitches and has an idea. Very uncomfortable at-bat for a left handed hitter. Did not hit here but is a solid two-way college prospect as a position player. Verbal commitment to Florida.
