Omar Blancarte is a 2016 OF/OF, RHP with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from Moreno Valley, CA who attends Polytechnic. Medium, young, thin build with a lot of room to grow. Ran a 7.25 60 yard dash. Arm strength is still developing from the outfield, but shows athletic actions. Bats right-handed, works from a slightly open stance and gets on his front foot at times. Shows a line drive approach and swing path, staying short to the ball consistently. Also took the mound, reaches 75 mph with his fastball and has a long, easy arm action. Pitches downhill effectively. Shows good shape on a 12-6 curveball at 60 mph, and a usable 68 mph changeup.
