Kiernan Acklin is a 2017 OF/RHP/SS with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Decatur, GA who attends Lakeside HS. Solidly built athlete with some projection and looseness. Primary outfielder, showcased good clean release and compact arm action, solid arm strength. Also plays infield, inconsistent footwork, but shows flashes of good actions. Made good play on slow roller in game action, should improve there with more reps and experience. Right handed hitter, slightly open and tall stance. Uses deeper load, has middle of the field approach and stays inside of ball in swing. Good, quick hands, flashes ability to pull at times. Performed well on the mound, quick, compact arm-action to a high 3/4 arm slot. Showed solid command of 78 mph fastball with solid arm side run. Also flashed a curveball in high-60s with 11/5 shape and solid biting action. Very good student.
