Kenny Houser is a 2007 RHP/OF with a 6'0'', 150 lb. frame from Litchfield Park, AZ, who attends Agua Fria HS. Lean and taller frame with projectability. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with an easy arm action and solid arm speed. Houser throws with minimal effort and stays balanced and online to the plate. Only threw out of the stretch. Houser's fastball topped out at 86 mph while working in the 84-86 mph range and he maintained that velocity over 3 innings. Moves his fastball in and out showing good control. Also threw a 68 mph curveball with an 11/5 break and sharp bite making it a plus pitch at times. Allowed only 1 run in 3 IP while striking out 6. At the plate he hits from a straight away and upright stance with a narrow base. He has a short stroke with a line drive swing plane, and hits some balls hard. He gets good extension on his swing with gap power. Defensively he moves well in the OF with and easy and accurate arm. Houser has great upside on the mound, and needs to be followed.
