James Proctor is a 2016 RHP with a 6-5 190 lb. frame from Creve Coeur, MO who attends Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day. Prototypical projectable pitcher's body with long and loose arms and legs, young overall look. Full hands over head delivery, very long arm action in back, extended 3/4's to mid-3/4's arm slot, tends to pull front side off direction early, lots going on that keeps him from repeating his mechanics and release point. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, gets arm side running action and very hard cutting action when he misses glove side. Soft curveball, will get under his curveball at times. Rare change up. Has lots of projection and physical ability to tap but must simplify delivery/mechanics to get there. Would have liked to have seen him throw from the stretch. Good student.
