Bailey Gerstner is a 2016 2B/RHP/SS with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends North Forsyth HS. Compact, young build with developing strength and physicality. Left handed hitter, starts with slightly open stance, stays inside the ball, shows repeatable swing mechanics and has feel for opposite field approach. At times front side will leak, could use lower half a bit more, but has good feel for the barrel and sprayed line drives around. Shows soft hands in the infield, could charge the ball a bit more consistently, but glove can play and he has quick transfer and release. Also pitches, uses compact arm-action to work to 3/4 arm slot, shows looseness through path and some armspeed. Fastball up to 77 mph, occasional cutting life on offering, some deception to pitch. Mixes in a curveball with 11/5 shape and some depth, also shows feel for a changeup with quality potential. Able to repeat delivery well and shows some feel for mixes pitches. Excellent student.
