Sam Warren is a 2017 OF/RHP/SS with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Grayson, GA who attends Grayson HS. Tall athletic build with some present strength, very projectable physically. Can really run, 6.51 in the sixty. Has range in the outfield but needs to learn to work through the ball more aggressively, tends to stop at the ball to throw, lots more arm strength in there with better footwork and momentum. Right handed hitter, exaggerated inside swing path, tends to loop under the ball, swings hard and flashes the ability to impact the ball hard, has the tools to really improve with adjustments. Also pitched, long and loose arm action from a pretty sound delivery, fastball topped out at 82 mph, mostly straight. Showed good spin and 11/5 depth on his curveball, threw strikes well, has some potential on the mound. Very good natural athlete who could really develop over the next few years as he hones his skills. Good student.
