Nick Nastrini is a 2018 RHP/1B with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Cathedral Catholic HS. Young athletic build, projects very well physically. Hand drop delivery with a full back turn, stays balanced well, tight 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 91 mph with consistent flat running action, tended to pitch in the middle of the zone this outing, could get consistent hard sink working the bottom of the zone. Good change up with some late diving action. Short soft slider is thrown for strikes, can develop more power behind this pitch. Good student, verbal commitment to UCLA.
