Sam Hall is a 2017 SS/OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Hampstead, NC who attends Topsail HS. Tall and rangy build, projects well physically. 6.68 runner, has nice balanced footwork in the infield on defense, soft hands at the ball, arm action is long and loose, tends to stay back on the ball at times, some projection that he may end up at third base in the future when he fills out, also plays the outfield. Right handed hitter, wide base with a high hand load, limited weight shift, has strength in his swing and good leverage at contact, keeps it simple and barrels up, line drive approach with some gap power. Polished player who still projects physically. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Clemson.
