Kevin Long is a 2017 1B/C with a 5-11 230 lb. frame from Bonita Springs, FL who attends Estero High School. XL frame with lots of strength throughout and a strong build. Posted a 7.26 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary first basemen showed a solid arm with good range and sound footwork. At the plate, fired his hips well with a positive attack angle towards the ball and good lower half involvement. Very good bat speed with intent to drive the ball with a line drive swing plane with lift. Barrel tip towards the pitcher to accelerate bat speed. Very impressive round of batting practice with strong power potential. Exceptional student. Named to Top Prospect List.
