Alex Alfonso is a 2015 C/RHP/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Boca Raton, FL who attends Spanish River HS. Large athletic build, good present strength. Good catcher's build, has some lower half life and quickness, good footwork, some length in release, developing arm strength, 2.15 best pop time. Right handed hitter, long extended swing, tends to pull front side and swing under the ball, ball comes off the barrel when squared, can shorten up and take advantage of strength to drive ball. Also pitched, long arm action, 3/4's slot, fastball up to 79 mph mostly straight, short curveball with slurve type break.
