Noah Murdock is a 2016 RHP/1B with a 6-6 165 lb. frame from Colonial Heights, VA who attends Colonial Heights HS. Very tall and extremely slender build, long limbs and huge feet, impossible to tell what he will look like athletically as an adult. Hand drop delivery, compact arm action, arm is quick and low effort coming through, 3/4's release slot, lands with front foot closed but upper body leaning away to first base, can easily improve direction to the plate. Mid 80's fastball, topped out at 89 mph early, good arm side running action at times. Tended to drop arm slot on curveball for a flat sweeping shape, tips curveball with release point. Played first base defensively and showed impressive athleticism with multiple difficult plays. Very difficult prospect to evaluate but has a very high potential ceiling. Good student, verbal commitment to Virginia.
