Alex Schmitz is a 2015 SS/2B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Tulsa, OK who attends Metro Christian Academy. Schmitz has an athletic build with more room to fill out and add strength. Hits from a square stance, knee lift trigger, get loaded well on backside. has quick hands with an aggressive approach. Good rhythm to swing with a line drive plane, extension and lift. Ball jumped off barrel. Has solid hitting tools to continue to develop. Defensively, smooth athletic actions, with a quick transfer and release.
