Chase Dickson is a 2016 LHP with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Corpus Christi, TX who attends Calallen HS. Slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. Big leg raise delivery with a pause at the top, hides the ball well in back, low effort release with balance at the finish, has deception and the ability to repeat his mechanics. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, maintained his velocity well from the stretch, good arm side running action, spots the ball outside against right handed hitters well, consistent fastball life. Nice curveball with tight spin and some depth, release point on FB/CB very consistent. Needs to show his change up but fits the crafty lefty profile well and will get hitters out. Good student.
