Patrick Sandoval is a 2015 LHP with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Mission Viejo, CA who attends Mission Viejo HS. High waisted long limbed athletic build, very projectable physically. Good hip turn in his delivery, gets loaded well on his back side, loose fast arm with a 3/4's slot that creates angle, stays on line well and repeats mechanics. Fastball topped out 91 mph, some arm side running action, spots his fastball to both sides well. Nasty slider, shows plus at times, tight spin with late hard biting action, high level out pitch. Quality change up with consistent release and arm speed. Three quality pitches with command and projection, slider is a major weapon. Verbal commitment to Vanderbilt. Selected for the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
