Danny Yanez is a 2020 3B/2B, SS, OF with a 6-3 198 lb. frame from Spring Valley, CA who attends Steele Canyon. Large frame with broad shoulders, long limbs and present strength. Primary third baseman with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while surrounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling and working through exchange. Primarily released from a three-quarters slot but showed the athleticism to change arm angles while throwing on the run, topped at 80 miles per hour. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing smooth paced, clean footwork while closing to the baseball. Compact arm circle at separation and released from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Throws produced stiff carry to the bag topping at 84 miles per hour. Switch hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and high back elbow set. Coils hands at load and works to contact on a loose path. Uphill barrel plane through extension and employed a mid field to pull side approach. Present strength and bat speed at contact that produced loud, hard carry when squared. Excellent student. Named to the 2017 California Underclass Showcase, Top Prospect List.
