2013 Caribbean Top Prospect Showcase
Luis Guzman is a 2014 SS/UT with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Villalba, PR who attends Caribbean School. Medium build, some present strength especially in his hips. Right handed hitter, short rotational swing, can use lower 1/2 more, line drive swing plane, spray contact to all fields. 6.79 runner, moves well straight ahead, second base profile defensively, tends to wait back on balls, hands work well at the ball, quick release. Also pitched, simple turn and throw delivery, high 3/4's arm slot, tends to fall off on release over hard front side, fastball's only, topped at 77 mph, threw strikes. Good student.
